Hi, my passion isn't drawing but programming. Your story sounds very similar to my story where I haven't programmed in a couple of months now because I quit and now, I am thinking about returning. Figured I will return January 1,2025. Maybe I will program as a hobby by creating a game, I don't know yet? While figuring this out I am learning Greek for literature and learning Italian since I plan to travel there again someday. But I found your channel because I figured I could learn some basics of drawing so I could create a video game with coding. Well, wish you the best on your dreams and thank you.

Great point regarding aspiring artist. For me, you have enough skills to be a professional artist. What defines you as a professional in any field is that you can earn a living from it. I’ve seen countless people with less skills than you who make 6 figures sell art online.

This resonates with me right now. I'm 27, and I've recently rediscovered my love for art. As a child, I didn't think I had any talent because other kids seemed so much better, so I gave it up. But recently, on a whim, I started drawing again. Despite the mistakes in my work, I felt incredibly happy and satisfied. When my partner saw my drawing, he told me he liked it and that it had potential. I didn't fully understand what he meant, but his words ignited a spark in me.

Thank you for posting your journey/story. It is so refreshing to hear the similar paths we go through. That mindset of why waste time on a project you know you're not ready for is an absolute growth killer. @50 I still push myself but also allowed that negative mindset to sink in and it sucks! Thank you for this documentary on your journey you just inspired me to push harder! God Bless you

As a beginner, you shouldn’t go straight to anatomy. instead, try to learn the fundamentals and perspective because, as the name says, they are fundamental. after that, you can try to learn anatomy. but yes, those are good books I heard^^

Many times I wanted to stop drawing and focus on learning something else, such as programming, but I am always in fear that if I stop, I will never return to drawing again, as happened with other things, so I find myself putting the priority on practicing drawing, implementing my ideas, and sharing what I have achieved through social media and in... The rest of the time I'm trying to learn other things.

Ever wonder what are the purpose of so called "tutorials" like that when after you became developed, improve and understand the concrete ideas then sooner you can't claim it. Is it for a person to imitate other artists concrete ideas, that's stealing. Realizations and "How to invent" concepts are important in achieving your goals and success. As Steve Jobs said in his quotes : In reality, the creative people were really only combining a couple of ideas that they saw elsewhere. When you see where they got the ideas, it becomes less impressive. What I'm getting from this is that creative things make you think "Wow, it's impressive that they came up with that." But in reality, the creative people were really only combining a couple of ideas that they saw elsewhere. When you see where they got the ideas, it becomes less impressive. Here's a related quote from Steve Jobs: "Creativity is just connecting things. When you ask creative people how they did something, they feel a little guilty because they didn't really do it, they just saw something. It seemed obvious to them after a while. That's because they were able to connect experiences they've had and synthesize new things."- Boring and nonsense if you can claim and make a new concept. Drawing is obvious and can be learned by anyone, just by moving there medium and tools. It is also similar to Writing. #Plagiarism #ArtThief #AvoidStaticLearning #GoingwiththeFlow

I’m 30 and I’ve been painting for about 4 years now, before that I went to art school determined to be an animator for Disney until I discovered painting. I’m still trying to get my foot in the door, but lately it’s been rough. I’m constantly battling imposter syndrome or comparing myself to others when it comes to my art. Sometimes I just don’t feel good enough, and it doesn’t help when people commission me for paintings of others artwork. I’m still trying to keep faith though.

Absolutely nailed it with resistance being a chronic illness. It’s like always having something in the pit of your stomach a pressure that’s always building and there and sitting and waiting … I’ve had it for about two years now but very seriously for about a year as I truly finally want to put my work out there but just can’t 😢

Dude this video resonated so hard with me. I turned 37 this year and it has been 10 since I abandoned art due to my frustration at to what I perceived as lack of progress and talent. Eventually I learned about the anxiety issues that have been plaguing me for years, and thanks to my partner I am now learning to love myself more, and found out that the one thing that truly fulfills me is art. So this year I am back to it, learning from past mistakes, to be consistent and most of all, to enjoy every second of it. Insta-subbed and can’t wait to see more of your work mate 🙌🏻

I'm a chef and a graphic designer. I studied both subjects in college and using both skills right now. Although I'm a little bit skilled in graphic design, I didn't have much talent in art. During covid I started drawing every single day. I think I improved alot since then. Now I don't have time to draw daily but still I make a design once a week. All these thing you said in this video is on point. Just keep going!

Almost 40 here, Started writing, and drawing. It was painful first 60 days. I started to like it, and enjoy it after that. My writing becoming nice, people are saying it too. Drawing, I have bear hands, will take a bit longer, but I really enjoy good drawing, and painting, or even light, and shadow on it. You will be good Z. In no time, You will crush it nice style already.
